Things I must have accomplished:
- Graduated university
- Mastered the Japanese language, maybe some Korean as well
- Been to or lived in or is living in Japan
- Paid back my student loans
- Doing my dream job
Probably have to stick teacher’s college somewhere in there, not sure how that’s gonna work though… I also want to re-learn French, just because I am a language-freak. Oh, and hopefully living in a big, comfy house with my family and kid(s)!
I think the most exciting part is the family part (lol /daydrams). What about you?
In the next 5 years, I’d really like to be going off to graduate school, maybe get my butt going on a family. I love my sister, but I don’t want to be 30 and partner-less, jobless, and kid-less. :( And I really hope to be going to grad school in Toronto!! We’ll see how that goes though LOL. For now, I’m just focusing on the present!
My five years is hard to picture. I know I want to be out of college, which will happen next year, but my main dream is to be doing my dream job, having a book finally published, living near the mountains, and being married. I wouldn’t be surprised if two of those happen soon, though.
Good luck with your dreams!
I would like to join you in that relearning French because of geekness challenge. Suddenly after having finished school some years ago it’s become appealing. I’m trying not to plan too far in advance but some of it is inevitable, and I’d definitely like to be doing my dream job!
I’m hoping that I’ll be done with school in the next 5-6 years, with a JD no less, haha. Unfortunately, within those five years, I can’t picture having a family yet, unless I can financially support myself and of course find an awesome guy, lmao, but you never know!
I’d love to live in Japan for a year or two. Perhaps mooch off my friend who resides in Tokyo.
I wish you the best of luck!<3

@Jennifer: It would be so cool if you come to Toronto for your grad studies! But for me, I can’t wait to leave Toronto and explore other parts of the world; /been here too long :/ lol.
@Medli: Wow never thought about living near the mountains, but that sounds great! Good luck with your dreams too.
@Charlie: I know right! I am trying to learn it too, but it’s so hard to find a place outside of school to learn it… I don’t think I really wanna learn it with middle-aged people.
@Chrizta: You bought up a good point about being financially able to support the family. Never really thought of that… now I am nervous, haha. And it’s good that you have a friend in Tokyo! I think I’d be totally lost when I go there. Thanks for the luck!
Wow, if I made a list, I think it would look something, if not almost exactly, like yours! I’m not that excited about kids and whatnot (sounds like too much trouble…lol), but I am excited about my wedding!
This is what happens when you’ve watched too many Disney movies as a child.
